Overview
MTC delivered civil and mechanical works for MEW at the Doha water station, part of Kuwait’s water production and distribution network.
Why it matters
Two things. First, it is a direct ministry contract, with MTC as principal contractor to MEW rather than as a subcontractor under an EPC house. That is a different relationship and a different level of accountability.
Second, it is essential public utility infrastructure. Kuwait depends almost entirely on desalination for potable water, so water production facilities are critical national assets and are treated accordingly on programme and compliance.
